Thailand on Tuesday became the first country in Asia to approve the de-facto decriminalization of Ganja, though authorities have left a Grey area around its recreational use. This will eventually happen. In essence you are in California 35 Years ago.. I know I was there then and Growing then.
Health Minister, Anutin Charnvirakul announced that the Narcotics Control Board had approved the dropping Cannabis from the Ministry’s list of controlled drugs. The de-listing by the Ministry’s Food and Drug Administration will now need to be formally signed by the Health Minister and enters into effect 120 days after its publication in the government gazette. Sir Anutin signs today at 2:00 PM. Formally being published into the Thai Gazette soon!
It follows the removal of Cannabis — a plant species to which both Ganja and Ganjong belong — last month from the list of illegal drugs under Thailand’s Narcotics Law.
Police and lawyers contacted by The Associated Press said it was unclear if possession of marijuana would no longer be an offense subject to arrest. This is why it is good to have a Good Lawfirm and or know a Licensed Entity that is doing this sort of Work Now.
https://ThailandHempFarms.com knows and follows the Laws. This is not an issue. A tangle of related laws means that production and possession of marijuana remains regulated for the time being, leaving the legal status of recreational Ganja use in a grey area. (Unless your Licensed)
The Health Ministry measure retains on its list of controlled drugs parts from the Hemp Cannabis plant that contain more than 1% by weight of tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, the psychoactive ingredient that gives users a high. My Personal Interpretation of the New Law is that 2% THC applies to Oil Extract, not to flower. I grow Flower.
Thailand in 2020 became the first Asian nation to decriminalize the production and use of Ganja for medicinal purposes. However if one possesses a License to Cultivate, Import, Export and etc. A whole new world opens for you!
Under changes made in 2020, most parts of the cannabis plant were dropped from the “Category 5” list of controlled drugs, but seeds and buds, which are associated with recreational use, were retained. Thailand Hemp Farms being Licensed, is allowed to Possess, Transport and Sell to other Licensed Entities.
The proposal now being implemented by the FDA removes all parts of the plant from the list.!!
Health Minister Anutin has been the driving force behind decriminalizing marijuana. Smart Man! He is the leader of the Bhumjai Thai Party, a major partner in the country’s coalition government, and campaigned in the 2019 general election for legalization of marijuana production to aid farmers. The latest measure is also seen as helping to promote cannabis products as a major industry in Thailand.
Anutin said last week that the FDA’s delisting “responds to the government’s urgent policy in developing marijuana and hemp for medical and health care benefits, developing technology and creating income for the public.”
His party announced that on Wednesday it will propose in Parliament a draft Cannabis Act to clarify the legal status of marijuana.
We already have one Ganja Farm built out now and another underway. With Hemp selling for $7-9,000.00 baht per Kilo. Then Ganja Flower Selling for $45-90,000.00 Baht per Kilo. Thailand Hemp Farms is very excited. We will be exporting more likely as selling to Israel, Australia, and some other places we can get even Higher Returns. I Love Thailand!!
Special Thanks to Queen Sirikit.
